Firstly I would like to apologise to 'telfordtornadoes' for the choice of my own (too similar for comfort) user name. Unfortunately I did not consider scanning the members list, but felt pretty confident that it wouldn't be a name that would be used (I do feel that I have a pretty strong claim to the moniker too). Anyway it's great to see the Tigers back, and certainly in the twenty fifth year, so congratulations to all who put in the hard work to make this happen. It was the anniversary that resulted in my finding this site as I was curious to see if anything was being planned to celebrate. Being a displaced Telford lad I am very happy that the Tigers also managed to get one over the Phantoms in their own shed last month, though upset that after being at the previous 'home' games and having to put up with the flak from my so called friends of supporting 'my team'(I was the one sat amongst the Phantoms fans shouting for the Tigers) that I wasn't at that game. Well good luck to the Tigers for the remainder of the season and I wait with baited breath as to how you will celebrate this special anniversary.

Sorry to drag this one back up to the top of the board, but I was just wondering if topbeats has any more news or anything else he can share with us about the 25th Anniversary game? I for one am really looking forward to the prospect of seeing some of the best players to play in the orange and black all together on the ice

The PR was in the Shropshire Star this week, officially announced as 16th April. with a couple of players.
Am still working on the dedicated website, but have the story to post and trigger the newsletter just as soon as I get a good 'nostalgia' picture to support it (later on Friday afternoon, 4th March)

The Christmas Cup we won in 97 is still in the bar, maybe this could be presented to the winning side at the end of the game? Or paraded round at the start of the game?
Wonder where the league trophy and Autumn Trophy we won are?

I see that John Burnicle is listed as bench coach. Can someone convince him to play? It would be great to see his hip check again!!

I see that John Burnicle is listed as bench coach. Can someone convince him to play? It would be great to see his hip check again!! Unfortunately not, injury means he is unable to take an active part in the game sadly. Was invited to play but offered to come up to be a part of it just to be a part of it, so we invited him to be a bench coach.

Is there any way that those of us who cannot make any more home games this season to reserve tickets please?

Is there any way that those of us who cannot make any more home games this season to reserve tickets please? Anyone who can't make it to the rink just has to let me know and we'll put a ticket aside for you.

Tickets may also be purchased on the day, albeit it may be best to purchase in advance to be on the safe side.
There seems to be a lot of local interest in the game, and I know some 'Legends' players are bringing several family members and friends from their time in Telford with them. Their seems to be plenty of talk about the game but its difficult to gauge how that will transition to bums on seats on the day.
Hopefully upstairs will be full and we can have people around the boards again :-)

It's great to read that Wolfie will be playing. Having watched him play hundreds of games for the tigers a legends game just wouldn't be the same without him! I'm really looking forward to the game and hope the rink is full of supporters too, those old days when the rink was packed was an awesome atmosphere!
