A huge thank you to everyone involved with organising yesterday's hockey 'festival'.
It was great to see not just the Tigers (past and present) but also the Raiders ladies team and the Venom juniors.
Seeing the Tigers Legends on the ice reminded me of just how many quality players we've had in Telford throughout the years - and there's a few of them I wouldn't mind having back.
Of course, in some ways, last night marked the end of an era and it was a fitting tribute for the numbers 9 and 19 to be retired. Thanks to Claude for his efforts in a Tigers jersey and good luck back in Canada, and thanks too to the Budzy's who have worn 19 over the years.

I have posted a few shots on another site (I hope I can post this here): www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1373497I would really love to get hold of as many photos, cuttings and bits of memorabilia as possible if anyone would be kind enough to send me any shots or video they got on the day? My camera is awful and I didn't do very well. Are they going to release the full game on video?

Brilliant event, very enjoyable night ;D A couple of questions though: 1. Will the retired shirt numbers be displayed? Most teams that retire numbers hang them from the rafters...would the rink let us do this? If not, then maybe we could get a "Dumas 9" and a "Budzy 19" shirt/plaque/whatever displayed in the bar? 2. Will the team be using the "skittles" celebration in the EPL next season?

Fantastic nights entertainment, thank you to everyone involved.
It was great to see the Legends players back on the ice again. I will echo tallpauls comments about how many truly great players we have been lucky enough to get to watch in Telford over the years.
I am glad that Claude chose to play his last game in England wearing a Tigers Jersey, he has made such a massive contribution to the Tigers over the years, as has Dan MacKriel (McBudz as I heard him described on Saturday, I think a new nickname may have been coined).
Good luck for the future to both of you and also to anyone else who we lose during the summer. It's always nice to see ex-Tigers doing well.

On behalf of myself and Tommo (Paul Thomason) I'd like to thank everybody for their kind words, and I am really glad that everybody enjoyed the game.
When we set out to organise this game we wanted to showcase the present against the past, and draw out enough of the 'old time' supporters for them the really be showcased the trust and our current squad.
Jusdging by the number of old fans that stopped me to speak I think we ticked the 'old time' supporter box well and truly, and hopefully the words that Tommo said at the end of the game about fans turning out in force come September will sit in the minds of the many.
We're in the process of collating all monies, albeit this has been set back somewhat due to the fact that I have been ill since Sunday with a virus (guess that's my thanks for organising the game from the hockey gods!! :-) ) so we're a few days behind collecting outstanding shirt monies, gate receipts and other finances.
Hope fans liked the special shirts we had commissioned, what we did with the game (team entrance, music etc...) and in general had a great night.
Thanks also go to Matt Giles and Ian hanlon for their fantastic images, and to James Shaw for recording it. I missed most of the game doing the 101 jobs that needed doing behind the scenes, so my only reference will be these images and a copy of the DVD when I can get my hands on it!!
The website will be updated with game images over the coming weeks, and my final thanks has to go to all the players, officials, helpers and of course fans for turning out and making it such a great night.
