Really good to see Marek back, we now have 4 imports that can and are proven to find the net.
By my reckoning we now have scoring right through our defence and certainly on (at least) 2 lines. I also like the fact that so many opposing fans are writing us off already :-)

Good to see Marek return. He may not be up there with the likes of Cingel, Chambers and Calder in terms of points come the end of the season but he's a reliable goal scorer and (more importantly) he's committed to this club and will give 100% effort, exactly the type of player I like to have on our roster.

Great to see Marek back Only vacancies appear to be in goal and defence now. Not sure why other teams fans are writing us off as Topbeats says. We are certainly stronger this campaign and although others have apparently strengthed as well, we now have that seasons experience behind us and I believe we could do well this time around

Thing is though Tom, the capability to be up there is evident. Just take his season with Cassells in to consideration, the rate those pair were scoring had Cass seen out a full term with us I'd have put my house on it that they each would have topped the 100pt mark by the end. Marek is a scorer and needs a set-up man / playmaker to compliments his style. Just as Cass was an out-and-out centre, so is Hanzal (so I am lead to believe), so fingers crossed and chemistry permitting the pair will hopefully enjoy a full pair of scoring boots this year ;D

In the season Marek played with Cassells, Marek averaged 1.6 points a game with 47 goals in 53 games. Obviously those figures take into account games he played after Cassells left and he'd have been more prolific had we kept hold of JC, but I'll be a very happy man if Marek manages figures anywhere near Calder next season considering most Elite League teams would kill to have AC on their roster! The league has attracted some big-scoring forwards over the past couple of years and I wouldn't be surprised to see 6 or maybe even 7 players top the 100 points mark this season. Should be a great year of attacking hockey ;D

Really pleased that Marek is rejoining us.
Very hard working player and committed to the Tigers. If Jiri Hanzal is a similar player to Jason Cassels, I cannot wait to see how he and Marek pair up (always assuming they play on the same line, that is).
