Manchester Phoenix have signed an experienced 6'5" D, Peter Schnabel. Aged 33, he has played a couple of dozen for Nashville Press as well as terms in the AHL and the premier leagues of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Finland. Rather ups the ante on next season, eh?

I don't know to be honest. There have been a few ex-NHL level players in our league over the years. Some have done really well, others not so well.
Also, at 33, he shouldn't exactly be a spring chicken, however, you only have to look at Tigers own Claude Dumas, Jets Steve Moria and especially Phoenix's Tony Hand to see that age doesn't necessarily have to be a barrier.
It will certainly be interesting to see this bloke play and to see whether he can settle in quickly and how well he performs.

Are there likely to be anymore imports (a forward, or two, perhaps) signed by Tigers to supplement the very promising (but young) Brits line-up, do you think?

You may be right, Shrek, about his age. Our player coach, Richard Hartmann, is a Slovak and our (Edinburgh Caps) forum has wondered why he didn't pick up this guy on a recent scouting trip. The consensus was that he (Schnabel) may be burned out. We'll see.

During the interview with Tigers Manage,r Paul Thomason, recently posted on the Tigers Facebook page , he said that we would be icing with a full compliment of imports, so I assume that we are holding back (at least) one big final announcement.
We seem to have signed a very decent squad this year, even given that we have lost some of last seasons influential players like Scott McKenzie. The squad looks to have bigger individual players which should result in us getting pushed off the puck less, and we have some EIHL level players to strengthen the team.
One final import will, I think, set us up quite nicely, although the lack of an ice rink while it is being refurbished means that the first time we get together on-ice will be at our first pre-season friendly. That coupled with the first month or so being purely road games is going to make for a tough start to the season, but I am confident that we will go at it with all the usual Tigers heart.
I for one, cannot wait to see what we can do.
